A Rock ‘n Roll travel guide – Barcelona

Barcelona is one of those places everyone should visit, at least once in their life. Paying a visit to Antoni Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, a stroll through Park Güell, walking across La Rambla and a day at the beach are the obvious musts when you visit the city. However, for lovers of Rock ‘n Roll, retro, cocktails and Tiki, there are a lot of other really cool things to do and see in Barcelona!

This is our top 5!

1: Black Lab

Grab a burger at Blacklab Brewhouse & Kitchen, and make sure you order the Beer Fries on the side. They are AMAZING! Even if you don’t like beer. They also make beer cocktails and beer desserts!

2: Tiki Bars

Visit all the Tiki Bars in Barcelona and treat yourself to some tasty cocktails! The Tiki bars located in Barcelona are Aloha (1976), Kahala (1971), Kahiki (1976) and Tahiti. Aloha and Kahiki are fun and well-decorated, but don’t really serve great drinks. Kahala is great, though! They all serve their drinks in Tiki Mugs. Most of them Spanish designs made by Porcelanas Pavon.

Unfortunately Tahiti was closed when we wanted to visit it. But according to Critiki it is well worth the visit.

3: Parc d’Atraccions

Visit Parc d’Atraccions (1901), one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, built on the 512 meter high Mount Tibidabo and ride the vintage rides! The Talaia (1921) is a ride that takes you up to a height of 550 meter, standing in a small metal box and the Avio (1928), a little red aeroplane that is a replica of the first aircraft that flew from Barcelona to Madrid, flies a circle above the city powered by it’s own propeller.
