Paris is one of those places everyone should visit, at least once in their life. The view from the Eiffel Tower, a stroll down the Champs-Élysées and admiring the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci at the Louvre are obvious musts when you travel to Paris. However, for lovers of Rock ’n Roll, retro, cocktails and Tiki, there are a lot of other really cool things to do in Paris!
This is our top 10!
1: Dirty Dick
Have some sexy Tiki drinks at Dirty Dick, formerly a brothel, now a Tiki Bar. Owner Scotty Schruder is one of the guys behind the amazing Plantation O.F.T.D. Overproof Rum!
2: Le Tiki Lounge
Have some more Tiki drinks at Le Tiki Lounge. A good lookin’ Tiki bar with great music!
3: Mobster Diner
Eat a burger in 1920s Chicago at Mobster Diner!
Check out the Arts of Oceania at the Louvre. And while you’re there, check out that little painting from Nat King Cole’s song called Mona Lisa.
5: Musée du quai Branly
Wanna see more Polynesian art? Visit the Musée du quai Branly near the Eiffel Tower. We loved the Tamtams from Vanuatu and of course all the Tikis!
6: Harry’s New-York Bar
Drink some classic cocktails at Harry’s New-York Bar (1911). Still family owned and the birthplace of the Bloody Mary, French 75, Sidecar and many more classic drinks!
7: Born Bad Record Shop
Go record shopping at Born Bad Record Shop! They have a great collection of Rock ‘n Roll, Punk, Surf, Exotica and Blues records. They also sell some awesome stickers!
8: Lone Palm
Visit the Lone Palm. A beautiful mid-century cocktail bar from the guys behind Le Tiki Lounge. Just like Le Tiki Lounge, the drinks and music are great!
9: Happy Days Diner
Have a milkshake at Happy Days Diner! They have some special flavors, like Kinder Bueno, Donut and Barbapapa!
10: Champop Galerie
Still have some money left? Go shopping art at Champop Galerie. No free wall space at home? Buy some champagne or one of their ‘waters of the world’. We bought some blk. water, which is black and also water. Weird!
Just in time – 11: A’Rhum
Treat yourself to something tasty at A’Rhûm! The huge collection of rum will make your pirate-heart jump. We brought home a jar of rum-flavoured jam! We’ve already discovered this stuff is divine on vanilla ice cream.
